Description:

As a Java Developer at Appthena, you will play a key role in designing and implementing high-performance, scalable, and secure mobile applications. Working closely with our cross-functional team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and objectives.

  2. Design and develop robust and scalable Java-based mobile applications.

  3. Implement clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

  4. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

  5. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to enhance application performance.

  6. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to bring innovative solutions to the team.

  7. Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  2. Proven experience as a Java Developer, preferably with mobile app development expertise.

  3. Strong knowledge of Java, Android SDK.

  4. Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and JSON/XML parsing.

  5. Familiarity with database design and integration (SQLite, Room, CoreData, etc.).

  6. Understanding of mobile application security best practices.

  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
